About the Owners

Steve & Elizabeth

Northwest Painting & Coating Owners: Steve and Elizabeth

Growing up as a pastor's kid (PK), Steve's family settled in the Bluffton area. An Eagle Scout and graduate of Bluffton High School, he moved to Lima to attend the University of Northwestern Ohio for a BA in Business Administration and Marketing. He met Elizabeth, an English teacher at Temple Christian, his senior year. They hit it off and he didn't walk with his classmates because he was on his honeymoon!

A year later, the couple moved to Denver, Colorado for work and to pursue work in their church. They lived there for seven years working with various companies in construction and high technology during The Great Recession. Steve eventually started a marketing company, and the outlook was good by 2014. With a growing family in Colorado, and an aging family in Ohio, the family decided it was time to move back home.

In September of 2015, Steve and his family moved back to Lima. Steve originally contracted with a local foundation repair contractor for a marketing trial through his company, but at the end of the trial the contractor offered Steve a job. He accepted and became a driving force in that company, becoming the Sales Manager. Steve grew with the company until it changed hands eight years later. After an amicable severance, Steve, Elizabeth and by now the three children decided to start another business.

Recognizing that many trades in the area are stagnant, Steve wanted to revitalize the community's property values through the trades that are most immediately noticeable. Drawing on his artistic background, Elizabeth's social media skills, and a lot of prayer; the couple decided to open a professional painting company.

Today, Steve & Elizabeth endeavor to build a company that parents can be proud their children work for. Quality driven and always learning, the team has a long-term vision to serve the communities of LimaLand with honesty and reliability.
